SHORT PROMOTIONAL BIO: Dr. Samantha Edmonds is the author of the forthcoming story collection A Preponderance of Starry Beings (TriQuarterly Books, 2025), as well as the chapbooks Pretty to Think So (Selcouth Station Press, 2019) and The Space Poet (Split/Lip Press, 2020). Her fiction and nonfiction appears in The New York Times, Fourth Genre, Ninth Letter, Michigan Quarterly Review, Mississippi Review, Creative Nonfiction, and McSweeney's Internet Tendency, among others. FULL BIO: Dr. Samantha Edmonds is the author of the forthcoming story collection A Preponderance of Starry Beings (Triquarterly Books, 2025), as well as the chapbooks Pretty to Think So (Selcouth Station Press, 2019) and The Space Poet (Split/Lip Press, 2020). Her fiction has appeared in Best Small Fictions 2020, Ninth Letter, Mississippi Review, Black Warrior Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, Indiana Review, and Joyland, among others. Her nonfiction has been published in The New York Times, Creative Nonfiction, Fourth Genre, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, The Rumpus, Literary Hub, Ploughshares, VICE, Bustle, and moreHer work has been nominated for Best American Essays, Best Small Fictions, and twice for the Pushcart Prize. Currently, she works as the Associate Prose Editor for Sundress Publications and as the Fiction Editor for Doubleback Review, a new journal within the Sundress Publications family; she has formerly served as the Fiction Editor for Grist: A Journal of the Literary Arts and as the Community Outreach Director for Sundress Academy for the Arts. She holds an MA in creative writing from the University of Cincinnati, an MFA from the University of Tennessee, and a PhD from the University of Missouri.
